Happy Sunday.
There are a couple of little bits of Jays news:
- Edwin Encarnacion gets a one game suspension for 'bumping' umpire Vic Carapazza. Edwin is appealing it. Baseball doesn't share information on punishments for umpires, but I would like to think someone talked to Carapazza about having a slower trigger.
- And as Minor Leaguer wrote Marco Estrada is having an MRI today. It seems likely he'll get a stint on the DL, but might only miss one start. I was hoping he would get to go to the All-Star game, but that's pretty unlikely now.
Kevin Pillar and Devon Travis get the day off today. There has been a lot of baseball played lately, so it isn't a surprise that Gibby is trying to give some regulars a day off.
GO JAYS GO!
