Friday afternoon means that, once again, it’s time for another edition of Around The Nest, the Blue Jays minor league podcast. Hosted by the Voice of the Lugnuts Jesse Goldberg-Strassler, the podcast features the radio voices of every Blue Jays minor league affiliate that has a broadcaster.
The Gulf Coast League Blue Jays have no broadcasters but this week we’re lucky to have Chris King (@StatsKing) join the show to speak about his observations of the Blue Jays’ newest and youngest minor leaguers.
Link for the live broadcast at 4 pm Eastern or archived listening.
Here’s the show description from Jesse:
What's the latest around the Blue Jays' Minor League system? The Buffalo Bisons announce their Class of 2016 Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famers, Taylor Cole regains form for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Dunedin Blue Jays break out offensively, J.C. Cardenas and the Lansing Lugnuts pull off a classic comeback, J.B. Woodman gets his swing going for the Vancouver Canadians, Juandy Mendoza heats up for the Bluefield Blue Jays, and Chris King drops in with observations on the prospect-packed Gulf Coast League Blue Jays - from hitters Bo Bichette, Kevin Vicuna, Norberto Obeso to pitchers Joel Espinal, Wilfri Aleton and Guadalupe Chavez.
As always, feel free to ask your Blue Jays prospect questions below in the comments! Jesse will try to have them answered on the show.
