Blue Jays roster move: Schultz up, Loup DFA

Roster move of the day.

MLB: Seattle Mariners at Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports

Another day, another Blue Jays roster move.

Bo Schultz is coming up.

Schultz looked pretty good when he was up earlier in the season. He had a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings of work. He allowed 11 hits, 4 earned, 2 walks, 2 home runs with 7 strikeouts. In Buffalo he has a 3.56 ERA in 30.1 innings, 28 hits, 5 walks and 21 strikeouts.

With Loup DFAed, the Jays have roster space for Dioner Navarro, which ends the speculation that Josh Thole would be DFAed and likely reactivated when he cleared waivers.

Loup has had a really rough time this season putting up a 7.45 ERA in 9.2 innings with the Jays. But, I’d imagine we would try to keep him if he clears waivers.

The other news:

It looks like we might, finally, have out ‘A’ lineup our there today.

Welcome back Bo.
