We haven't done one of these for a long time. In fact the last one was May 19th. They didn't fair well:
With the trade deadline just barely in our rear view mirror, it seems like a good time to gauge opinion. The Jays were pretty active, not as active as last year, but then they don't have the prospects they had last year. I like the moves they made, but I would have liked a lefty reliever of some value. Then, the price for those guys was pretty high.
The Sanchez thing is dragging on, and, perhaps Mark and Ross could have explained things better. It do like that they, in interviews, actually try to answer questions, while Alex just seemed to try to run out the clock without saying anything of value, but maybe they could have gotten out in front of the Sanchez issue.
I guess part of the reason that they haven't explained it well is that it has been an evolving thing. I bet they didn't guess he would be as good as he has been, and, likely, expected he would be throwing fewer innings per start.
Anyway, let's have the poll.
