The Blue Jays visit Kauffman Stadium for the first time this season. I actually don't remember much about the last game the Jays played in Kansas City, but I am not really that interested in re-watching it nor would I any time soon.
The Royals swept the Blue Jays in Toronto when they visited a month ago; hopefully the Jays can return the favour in this upcoming three-game series.
Game one will be featuring Francisco Liriano making his first start as a Blue Jay. Liriano pitched most recently on July 31 against Milwaukee, giving up four runs on six hits over five innings, striking out seven while walking three. Two starts before that, he was dialed in against the same Brewers, allowing just two earned runs over 6.2 innings, striking out 13 while walking none. So there is still a chance that he would have a dominating outing.
