There is about zero for Blue Jays news, or even Blue Jays rumors, which makes life rough on your average Jays bloggers.
The problem seems to be that there are a lot of options, so the Jays can wait until they can get a deal they like.
The only real news is that the Cardinals are apparently making a big push to get Josh Donaldson. Personally, they can push as hard as they like, but they would have to make an extremely good offer. The Jays front office doesn’t have to rush into anything. They can keep talking until spring and hope the Cards make better and better offers.
So, let’s have question time: If you had a chance for one question for Mark Shapiro, what would you ask? Presuming, of course, he would answer, and relatively truthfully. Maybe let’s pretend he is a real person and no ask something terrible insulting.
I guess I would ask “How would your off-season plan had changed if Shohei Ohtani had chosen the Jays?”
If he was a Jay, I’d imagine there would be a bit more of an urgency to build around him. Maybe. Or maybe not. I don’t know.
Maybe I’d ask what the Jays would have offered for Giancarlo Stanton, or what they did offer?
Anyway, tell us what you would ask?
