Tuesday Bantering: Stroman wins, Spring TV schedule

Marcus Stroman won his arbitration case with the Jays. The arbitrator decided Stroman deserves the $3.4 million he submitted, not the $3.1 million the team figured he was worth.

I’m not sure how the arbitrator can decide between those two numbers. It is funny how I can think $300,000 is nothing when it is baseball money. I mean, if offered I’d take $300,000. That would buy at least a month’s worth of cheese doodles. Or a half dozen HDMH caps.

I’m sure it is worth the money to the Jays if it makes Marcus happy.

Sportsnet announced it’s Spring Training TV schedule. All the games will be on radio (590 the FAN in Toronto and on MLB Audio (which is free for spring)) and 11 games will be on Sportsnet TV. All those will be on MLB.TV, which will have a few other games that the other team broadcast. The last two games, from Montreal, will be on Sportsnet.

The spring games that are on TV will be the ones on February 26 and 27. March 5, 7, 11, 18, 24, 25, 26, 31. April 1. Most of the games have a 1:00 Eastern start time.

Real fake games are almost here!
