There was a ton of great baseball yesterday.

That Venezuela/Italy game was just crazy, finishing 11-10 in 10 innings, with Venezuela coming back from being down 5-0, and then Italy coming back from 8-5 and a ton of back and forth after that. I’ll admit to cheering for Chris Colabello (who had one of the few 0 fors in a game the pitching was pretty terrible).

The Canada/Colombia game was a bit disappointing, and Dalton Pompey getting hurt was very disappointing.

And then the super USA/Dominican Republic game. Marcus Stroman looked amazing. 4.2 innings of scoreless ball against great lineup. If that is a sign of things to come, we are going to enjoy Marcus this year. And then, a 4-run 8th inning for DR to comeback and win. Good to see Jose Bautista play some first base. I hope the Jays take note.

And this morning, Japan and the Netherlands played 11 innings before Japan won.

Today we have the Jays at the Rays, which is on MLB.tv. And, starting right away, plus Dominican Republic and Columbia starting right now. Plus Italy and Puerto Rico at 3:30 eastern. Canada plays the US at 7:00. And Mexico plays Mexico plays Venezuela at 10:00. You could watch 12 hours of baseball today. This is what heaven is like.

Let’s use this as a GameThread for all of today’s games.

Today’s Blue Jays lineup (at least we get to see Lourdes play):
