Josh Donaldson gets into a major league spring game for the first time since hurting his calf.
The bad news is: The game isn’t on TV or MLB.tv....just radio today.
Francisco Liriano gets the start. He hasn’t given up a spring run yet, 5 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts.
The other good news is that Devon Travis will be playing second base in a minor league game today. The plan is for him to play in a minor league game again Wednesday and, all being well, his next start should be with the major league team, by the weekend. YAY.
And Kevin Pillar worked on bunting for a base hit in a minor league spring game yesterday. Not a bad idea.
Happy Vernal Equinox, everyone! Over a month into spring training and it's the first day of spring. Here's today's #Bluejays lineup. #Jays pic.twitter.com/dIzmC5lP04
