We’ve made it to the end of the Florida spring training schedule for the Jays. Two games this weekend in Montreal (I’m wishing I planned to go) and then REAL BASEBALL.
I figured today’s game would be on MLB.TV but I’m wrong. I thought the YES network would be broadcasting it.
There are a couple of bits of Jays news this morning.
- Darrell Ceciliani was cut. Early in camp he was hitting well, but lately he’s been striking out a ton. He may be next in line for an outfield job, at least until Dalton Pompey recovers.
- And it looks like Aaron Sanchez will skip his last spring start, because of the blister on his pitching hand.
J.A. Happ gets his last tuneup before the season. I think the idea is to drop him back to about 60 pitches.
Upton is leading off, mostly to get some swings in against the lefty starter for the Yankees.
J. A. Happ gets the ball in our Grapefruit League finale!
