In news we didn’t want to hear, the Blue Jays announced that Bo Schultz had Tommy John surgery.
That puts him out for the season. I’m very sorry to hear it.
Bo had been in the running for the last spot in the Jays bullpen, until the Jays announced he was going to have surgery to remove bone chips from his elbow, and, they said, they would check out the ligament while they were there. I guess they didn’t like what they saw.
I wish him the best possible recovery. Hope we see him next year.
Sportsnet tells us that Montreal has investors ready to return baseball back to the city. And that they aren’t looking for any more investors.
The source said the investors have a solid financial set-up, support from two levels of government, various potential locations for a stadium as well as at least five different designs for the venue.
They are just waiting for the call from Rob Manfred to get started. All I can say is hurry up.
We are still waiting for Angel Pagan’s decision. I don’t think he’s a difference maker but I think he would be an upgrade over what we have in left.
