Around The Nest is back for another season! Hosted by the great Voice of the Lansing Lugnuts Jesse Goldberg-Strassler, Around The Nest is a podcast that runs through the happenings of each (active) level of the Toronto Blue Jays’ farm system.

Every week, Jesse invites the radio broadcasters from each level to call in, so this podcast doesn’t just look at minor league scores and stat lines, but it digs deep into stories and reactions beyond the boxscore.

Click to listen to the podcast. Broadcast starts at 4 pm Eastern, will be archived here.

Today, the show will start with Ben Wagner of triple-A Buffalo at 4 pm Eastern, then move on to Tyler Murray of double-A New Hampshire, Daniel Venn from advanced-A Dunedin, and will wrap up with Jesse himself on single-A Lansing.

Week 1 will be filled with content on prospects that you know. Here’s the description from Jesse:

One week-plus into the new Minor League season, and a new level hasn't proven too big of a challenge for top prospects Rowdy Tellez, Anthony Alford, Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. Triple-A Buffalo is off to a 5-2 start, with unexpected boosts from Jason Leblebijian, Christian Lopes and Ian Parmley. Double-A New Hampshire is 3-4, with Gunnar Heidt impressing offensively and Carlos Ramirez looking good out of the bullpen. A-Adv. Dunedin is 4-5, with 1B/3B Juan Kelly drilling six doubles in his first nine games. And Single-A Lansing is 6-2, thanks to a trio of shutouts and the best offense in the Midwest League. Hop aboard for another year, going Around the Nest with the broadcasters of the Blue Jays' organization!

As always, Bluebird Banter members are invited to ask their questions in the comments below, and Jesse and team will do their best to answer them!
