Blue Jays place Liriano on DL

The hits, they just keep coming.

Shi Davidi tells us that Francisco Liriano is going to the DL. No word on the injury yet. He had a tough outing yesterday and he only went 3.2 in the start before that.

Leonel Campos gets the call up. Leonel was up once before, pitched in 1 game, 1.2 innings, 1 hit, no walks, no strikeouts.

In Buffalo, he has a 2.31 ERA in 9 games. In 11.2, he’s allowed 5 hits, 1 home run, 5 walks with 15 strikeouts.

This season......It is just so hard to believe.

The loss of Casey Lawrence might come back to haunt us, if Aaron Sanchez doesn’t make his start this weekend or if he has to go back on the DL. Right now, Mike Bolsinger and Joe Biagini have been added to the rotation. If we needed another starter, Casey would have been on the short list.
