Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms.
You knew this was coming, but Aaron Sanchez has been activated for today’s game Leonel Campos heads to Buffalo. Leonel has pitched 3 times for us, 2.2 innings, 2 hits allowed, plus a walk and a strikeouts.
I’m hoping that this ‘activation’ goes better for Aaron than the last one. You’ll remember he pitched 1 inning and had his fingernail split and went right back on the DL last time.
Aaron has a 4.05 ERA in 3 starts, 13.1 innings, 11 hits, 3 home runs, 5 walks and 10 strikeouts. I’m hoping his finger troubles are behind him, but blisters tend to be a reoccurring issues.
Non-Jays news, but David Price will pitch against our Bisons Friday, unless there is a setback of some sort. I’m always going to be a fan, he was so much fun to have on the Blue Jays.
Good news:
And on the seventh day, he threw: Russ Martin (shoulder), on the DL since last Monday, played catch in the outfield just now. #BlueJays

More good new, the dome is open. I think Rogers is so much better when the roof is open.
Yesterday was one of those fun days where we were treated to almost everything a baseball game can bring us. Home runs, steals, that double steal, sac flies, good and bad base running and errors (thankfully enough by the Mariners).
The double steal was a very cool thing. Runners on the corners, two outs. Luke Maile takes off from first, draws the throw to second, stops (the stop is important, because if he gets tagged out before Travis scores, the run doesn’t count). Travis takes off from third, Mariners throw home, but too late to get Travis.
A lot of things have to go right for this to work, mostly the opposing team has to be caught by surprise. But then, if the catcher hangs onto the ball, Travis doesn’t take off from third and you’ve moved a runner into scoring position for free.
Today’s lineup:
