I thought we’d have our own player of the month vote.

I’d have a play of the month vote too, but I can’t imagine anyone beating out Coghlan’s leap (buy the t-shirt).

Let’s get the nominees:

Joe Biagini: Joe pitched in 13 games, had a 2.12 ERA. Batters hit .193/.258/.263 against him.

Marco Estrada: Made 5 starts, had a 2.70 ERA. Batters hit .223/.293/.411, with 10 walks and 33 strikeouts. And, with the lack of support he had a 0-1 record.

Kevin Pillar: Hit .301/.339/.505 with 4 home runs, 8 RBI. He even had 5 walks.

Joe Smith: Joe pitched in 13 games, had a 2.92 ERA. Batters hit .244/.292/.356 against him.

Justin Smoak: Hit .273/.305/.506 in 25 games. He had 4 home runs and 12 RBI.

Marcus Stroman: 5 starts, a 2.97 ERA, 2 complete games. Batters hit .265/.306/.360.

I was hoping to find more candidates. Maybe next month.
