Tuesday Afternoon Bantering: Roster Moves

And tonight’s lineup.

Surprise, it is Neil Ramirez who gets the DFA treatment, to make space for Mike Bolsinger.

The Blue Jays claimed Neil last Thursday off waivers from the Angels, but he never made it into a game. He joins Ty Kelly on the list of players who wore a Jays uniform without making it into a game, this season. You can put you Ramirez jersey in the back of the closet with the Kelly jersey.

Bolsinger gets tonight’s start. You might remember, Mike had a less than terrific spring training, when many of us figured he had a roster spot wrapped up. A 1.46 ERA will cause people to forget your spring, even if it is in just 12.1 innings.

In other news, Aaron Sanchez threw 60 pitches today and, as long as he feels ok tomorrow, he’ll be starting this weekend for the Jays.

Troy Tulowitzki will, all going well, play rehab games, starting this weekend in Dunedin. Donaldson is further away and Happ, likely further away yet.
