Game #58 GameThread: Jays @ A's

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

A late game, especially for you guys out east.

I'm sure you all heard that J.P. Howell has been put on the DL, with a sore shoulder or something. I'd imagine he'll get 'rehab' time to see if he can remember how to get guys out.

Devon Travis is day-to-day with a sore hand (we are lucky if it is just sore, I was sure that he'd end up with a broken bone. Glad to be wrong.

Russell Martin is playing, but not 100%, or so says Gibby.

Today's Lineups

TORONTO BLUE JAYS OAKLAND A'S
Kevin Pillar - CF Rajai Davis - CF
Josh Donaldson - 3B Chad Pinder - SS
Jose Bautista - RF Jed Lowrie - 2B
Kendrys Morales - DH Khris Davis - LF
Justin Smoak - 1B Yonder Alonso - 1B
Troy Tulowitzki - SS Ryon Healy - DH
Russell Martin - C Trevor Plouffe - 3B
Darwin Barney - 2B Mark Canha - RF
Ezequiel Carrera - LF Josh Phegley - C
J.A. Happ - LHP Sean Manaea - LHP

Manaea has been pretty good lately.

Happ makes his second start after coming off the DL. He threw 81 pitches in his first start back, so I'm thinking he is up to a pretty normal pitch count limit tonight.

GO JAYS GO!

As always, remember we have rules around there. Mostly it's "don't be terrible". If a moderator ask you to stop doing something, please stop. Remember losing makes Tom a wee bit grumpy. Also don't debate the rules in the thread. Send Tom a note instead (he doesn't get near enough email).
