I’ve had this weekend circled in my calendar since the Blue Jays released their schedule: it is a rare summer weekend where Jays fans can go to Lansing to see the class-A Lugnuts and to Detroit to see Toronto play there. So here I am setting up this post in Lansing after going to a game last night and being a guest of the Voice of the Lansing Lugnuts and host of Around The Nest, Jesse Goldberg-Strassler.
On today's show we will start off with Ben Wagner up in Buffalo, then head down to double-A New Hampshire, A-Advanced Dunedin, and Rookie League Bluefield before chatting about the Lugnuts.
The show airs live at 4 pm Eastern on Friday, and is also available afterwards at this link.
Here is Jesse’s show description.
Jason Leblebijian is on your viewing device (in the Triple-A All-Star Game), the New Hampshire Fisher Cats excel (in the Double-A All-Star Game), and Bo and Vlad have arrived (in the Dunedin starting lineup). Meanwhile, it's up to Edward Olivares and Yeltsin Gudino to lift Lansing, 22nd overall selection Logan Warmoth joins Vancouver (while David Jacob feels grand), and the Bluefield Blue Jays (led by a red hot Yorman Rodriguez) have won 11 of their last 13 games. Go Jay-talking around the organization with the radio voices of the Toronto system!
