Blue Jays send 8 to Arizona Fall League

T.J. Zeuch
Minor Leaguer

We have 8 players, 4 pitchers, 4 position players, going to the AFL.

Keegan Matheson tweeted out that right-handed pitchers Andrew Case, Jackson McClelland, T.J. Zeuch and lefty Daniel Young and catchers Javier Hernandez and Max Pentecost, infielder Lourdes Gurriel and outfield Jonathan Davis will play this fall.

Minor League told us about Zeuch last week and Alexis Brudnicki had Andrew Case:

Minor Leaguer also tells us that Dunedin Hitting Coach Corey Hart is going along to coach. Minor Leaguer interviewed Dunedin manager John Schneider and John talked about Jackson and McClelland feelings about playing in the AFL:

"They're excited to go out there. They'll come in to instructional ball [in Dunedin] for about 10 days to get ready after the [regular] season is over. It gives them a bit of a shot in the arm going down the stretch knowing they're going to [the Fall League], that the organization liked what they saw from them this year, and that they get to continue to develop."

I'm glad to see Pentecost and Lourdes are going to get more at bats.
