The minor league season is winding down so this is going to be our penultimate edition of Around The Nest in 2017. Last night the Dunedin Blue Jays clinched a playoff spot by being the Florida State League Wildcard and will be facing the Tampa Yankees. Down in the Appalachian League, the Bluefield Blue Jays have won their division and will also be facing off against the Yankees, the Pulaski Yankees. Over in the Northwest League, the Vancouver Canadians are coasting into the playoffs thanks to their first-half division win.
Around The Nest airs live at 4:00 pm Eastern and can be accessed through this link.
As always, the Voice of the Lansing Lugnuts Jesse Goldberg-Strassler will be hosting the show today, and here is his description:
Ryan Borucki comes in with a bang and Celery goes out a winner; Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. pounds a 9th-inning HR and Dunedin punches a playoff ticket; David Jacob catches fire and the Lugnuts ride their best winning streak in months; the Blue Jays call up Richard Urena and Carlos Ramirez (among others); and Vancouver names its 2017 award winners! Join Around the Nest to Jay-talk about the latest goings-on with the Jays' MiLB system.
If you have any remaining questions about the Blue Jays farm system you only have two chances left to ask them! Also, if you’re on Twitter, make sure you follow @AroundNest!
