Blue Jays sign Pillar and Leone for 1-year deals

Seven arbitration eligible Blue Jays sign, two are going in front of the arbitrator.

Kevin Pillar signed a 1-year deal for $3.25 million. Not too bad for first time arbitration eligible player.

Dominic Leone signed a 1-year deal for $1.085.

The real news is Roberto Osuna and Marcus Stroman are going to arbitration. I joked earlier that Stroman wanted to get $10 more than Sanchez. Now I’m thinking they wouldn’t give him more than Sanchez so he has to go to arbitration. I’d be curious to see what he and the team file at.

At least we’ve finally had a day’s worth of Blue Jays news. It’s been so long since we’ve had news to talk about.
