Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was certainly the most hyped prospect entering the 2018 Arizona Fall League. Unfortunately he got off to a terrible start..
...in his first two at bats, as he struck out and flied out.
Then he got into his usual stride by lining a double past third base for his first hit, picking up an RBI single in the seventh and a two-run double in the ninth, finishing the afternoon 3-for-5 with a trio of RBIs.
Talking of Vlad, Fangraphs projections forecast elite numbers for him. So elite in fact, they are the best ever given to a position player prospect.
The previous highs were Mike Trout, Kris Bryant, and Ronald Acuña.
So no pressure then...

Talking of the Arizona Fall League, what can we expect from our Blue Jays prospects?
And in case you hadn't noticed, its only two months until Winter Meetings!! Here is a prediction for 1 impact trade for each MLB team during that time.
Ours apparently involves trading Justin Smoak.
It was pleasing (and i say that with gritted teeth) to see the Red Sox extinguish the Yankees playoff dreams for this year.
The Sox finished 108-54, a win total only eight teams have surpassed in big league history. So how big a choke would it be if they fail to win the World Series?
Let’s look together at the biggest postseason chokes of all time!!
Im looking forward to seeing how the Brewers cope up against the Dodgers. Remember though, this is same Brewers team that had 94 losses in 2015 and 89 in 2016. How have they got this far so quickly? Here are trades that turned the club around.
And last but not least Matt Stairs has been fired after just one year as the Padres hitting coach. (Their offensive stats are exactly that..offensive.)
Have a great Wednesday everyone. A big shout out to DangYouToHeck and anyone else in Florida in the path of Hurricane Michael. Stay safe.
