Open GameThread: AL Wild Card Game

American League Wild Card Game - Minnesota Twins v New York Yankees Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images

The Yankees will host the wild card game tonight for the second year in a row.

Last year, the Yankees defeated the Twins there. Let’s hope for a different result tonight.

If you want to take a little trip down memory lane, here is an archived copy of the 2016 Wild Card game. I skipped through it last night and there some moments I had forgotten about - Osuna having to leave the game at the top of the 10th, the Jays grounding into so many inning ending double plays, and Chris Davis being a legitimate threat. Wild how much has changed in two years.

Please vote in my poll:

Here are tonight’s lineups. Both are pretty stacked. Here’s hoping for a good game.
