Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving.

As always I have a ton to be thankful about.

I’m extremely lucky and thankful that my life has worked out so that I can more or less do what I want with my time. I’m very lucky.

I’m thankful for a healthy and happy family. My wife puts up with me being far too interested in baseball and will go with me to see Paul McCartney. And 3 boys that still can make me laugh and make me proud.

I’m thankful for this place. It has been over 10 years and no one has kicked me out yet (it is amazing how long you can fool).

I’m thankful for people coming to the site, who comment or who just read.

I’m thankful for all the other writers on the site. I’m very lucky that we’ve so many interesting voices and that I can learn so much. And I can go away on holiday and know that Kate, Matt, Erik. Minor Leaguer and Martin really don’t need me around. Which is good because there is another holiday planned for January. And Bowling Guy does a great job moderating, I rarely have to get involved.

I’m thankful for friends who will go with me to baseball. Almost every year since I’ve started on the site I’ve had at least one baseball trip. And we’ve always met Jays fans from the site. This year’s trip was great meeting up with Kate and Minor Leaguer.

And I’m thankful for the Blue Jays. We might not have had a great team this year, but there was still many great moments and lots of enjoyable ball (as well as many moments that help turn my hair gray, and there is so little that wasn’t turned gray). And, as always made better by sharing it all here.

Tell us what makes you thankful.
