So here is our official coaches lineup. It looks good apart from 3B which makes me want to vomit a wee bit...
On the plus side its brilliant to see John Schneider get some recognition:
The Toronto Blue Jays rounded out manager Charlie Montoyo’s coaching staff by promoting John Schneider, the double-A Eastern League’s manager of the year, to the position of major-league coach with an emphasis on developing the club’s catchers.

Now that the dust has settled on Josh Donaldson’s move to Atlanta, here are a thoughts on the matter:
Its a homecoming of sorts for Josh.
The deal has the upside to be another big win for Alex Anthopoulos.
And this is has a sick burn in it: Donaldson takes a shot at the Jays over how they treated his injuries. (Clearly not having Adam Lind’s mum for diagnostics around didn’t do the Jays any favours...)
In other ex-Jays news:
Eric Hinske is joining the Diamondbacks where he will be assistant hitting coach to another ex Jay...Darnell Coles.
The Brewers have avoided arbitration with hero/catcher Erik Kratz. Kratz will receive $1.2M if in majors, with $300K guaranteed, plus award bonuses.
And much travelled Jesse Chavez has decided to return to Texas. The Rangers left a 2 year contract and and roughly $8m on his bedside table. Chavez took the money without making eye contact as both parties feel cheap and shameful about the whole thing.
Free agent outfielder and lovely human that is Curtis Granderson became the first three-time winner of the Marvin Miller Man of the Year, part of the players’ association’s Players Choice Awards. Well done old boy! Full results of the Players Choice Awards are here.
He is a leader both on & off the field, while continuing to impact the way the our game & communities grow. A 3x recipient, he serves as a great role model for all #PlayersChoiceAwards2018

Elsewhere the hot stove has provided some sick burns as Alex Bregman and Trevor Bauer roast each other on Twitter. I have a feeling the Houston v Cleveland games next year will be interesting...
Here are the 5 best throws from 2018. Wow!
Eric Thames is an interesting guy. He likes swords and knives (and gets distracted by hedgehogs). Now he wants to fight Thanos:
And to end...a newly unearthed slice of wonderful baseball history.
The Japanese-American National Museum in Los Angeles has discovered unidentified footage of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig during their barnstorming tour of 1927.
