The good people of the household are all at Church and I’m going to start a fire (in the fireplace, I haven’t decided to commit arson) and relax until they come back.
The socking are filled and the tree is surrounded by presents.
Present opening will start when they all get back. I don’t see a banjo shaped present under the tree, so maybe Santa messed up. I’d imagine I’m the only one on the site who would like a banjo. I’m not even sure why I want one. I have enough instruments that don’t get enough use. I’m trying to rectify that. I’ve put back together my old music room in the basement, and I’ve been going down there each evening to noodle around.
A friend got me a book that goes with this video:
We have a holiday coming to start the New Year, heading to the far end of South America. There will be much too much eating and drinking, I’m sure, but I want to see penguins. And Iguazú Falls look interesting, we have a couple of days of exploring there. And, if there isn’t a banjo under the tree, I understand there are a ton of music shops in Buenos Aires.
I’m looking forward to getting away from the real world for awhile, but I’m expecting that all the Blue Jays news of the winter will happen while I’m away.
I thought I’d ask if you received baseball related gifts you would like to tell us about? I didn’t really have any baseball related wants this year.
I hope everyone is having a terrific day, celebrating the way you want to, with the people closest to you.
