Cubs sign Yu Darvish

It isn’t Blue Jays news but then I’ll take any news.

The Cubs signed Yu Darvish for to a 6-year contract, with $126 million guaranteed, according to Ken Rosenthal. That will make it the longest contract and the most money give out this winter.

Rosenthal says there are incentives for winning the Cy Young. The Cubs and Dodgers both offered 6 years. Twins and Brewers offered 5.

I would think we’ll start seeing some of the other big name free agent pitchers sign over the next few days,
