I think we guessed this was going to happen. Troy Tulowitzki hasn’t played this spring, dealing with a bone spur in his heel. The Blue Jays have said he will be on the DL to start the season.
I’m thinking that we don’t see him in April. He can’t seem to catch a break. Or perhaps he catches too many breaks.
Aledmys Diaz and Yangervis Solarte will get playing time a short. I’m wondering if they will bring Gift Ngoepe north to give them a better glove as defensive replacement late in games.
In other injury news, Anthony Alford has an injured hamstring and will be day-to-day. And Dalton Pompey has a sore wrist and is also day-to-day. Add in Marcus Stroman, and the Jays training staff has some work to do.
