Monday Jays Notes and Lineup

MLB: Spring Training-Toronto Blue Jays at Atlanta Braves Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

There isn’t much for news.

  • John Lott at the Athletic tells us that Dalton Pompey has carpel boss and will have minor surgery after the season. He’s hopeful that he’ll be able to play this season with it.
  • Randal Grichuk, who has been out for most of the spring with a sore rib cage, took batting practice yesterday.
  • Ben Nicholson-Smith tells us that the team will be watching Devon Travis’ workload to start the season.
  • I’m guessing Danny Espinosa will get the 25th spot on the roster. He’s having a good spring, hitting .290/.371/.419 (mostly for the Yankees). He’s good on defense and has power, but then, other than homers, he doesn’t hit much.
  • Richard Urena and Sam Moll have been optioned to the minors. I like picking up Moll, we can just more depth in the lefty reliever side.

Today’s lineup. The game isn’t on TV, so it is radio again. The game is at Disney World, or at Champion Stadium at Disney World, against the Braves. Ezequiel Carrera isn’t in the lineup for the Braves.
