The good news, the Jays pitching did a good job against a Twins lineup filled with regulars.
Pitchers:
- Thomas Pannone: 2 innings, 2 hits, 1 earned, home run, 3 strikeouts. Not a bad outing, other than the home run off a breaking ball.
- Jon Harris: 2 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 unearned run, 2 strikeouts. A passed ball set up the run.
- Tim Mayza: 1 inning, 1 single.
- Matt Dermody: 1.1 inning, 1 hit, 1 k. A much better outing. His last one went badly, 5 earned in 2 thirds of an inning.
- Justin Shafer: 0.2 innings, 2 ground outs.
- Chad Girodo: 1 inning, 2 ground outs and a fly out.
Batters:
We only had 6 hits:
- Dalton Pompey: 0 for 3, 1 k, steal. He’s hitting .124 on the spring.
- Kacy Clemens: 0 for 1.
- Richard Urena: 0 for 3, k. Hitting .091.
- Cavan Biggio: 1 for 1, triple.
- Anthony Alford: 1 for 3, k, steal. .357.
- Teoscar Hernandez: 0 for 3, 2 k. .167.
- Lourdes Gurriel: 0 for 3, 1 k. .231.
- Kevin Vicuna: 1 for 1, double. .500.
- Danny Jansen: 0 for 2. .143.
- Max Pentecost: 1 for 2, double, k. Drove in our run. .111.
- Dwight Smith: 0 for 2, .182.
- Nash Knight: 2 for 2, double. .500.
- Jason Leblebijian: 0 for 1, walk. .286.
- J.D. Davis: 0 for 2, k. .222.

Tomorrow the Jays play the Twins again, this time in Dunedin. It’s not on MLB.TV.
