So we get to see Vladimir Guerrero Jr. today. Or we would get to see him, if Sportsnet would show the game to us. Unfortunately, it isn’t on TV or MLB.TV.
Also Bo Bichette will play at some point.
And we have the young outfielders playing, Pompey and Alford, in left and right, with Davis in CF (not sure if DJ or Jonathan).
After playing our regulars split between the two games yesterday, today we don’t have anyone who is likely to be on the active roster to start the season, excepting Aaron Sanchez (speaking of guys I’d like to watch).
On the Orioles side, our old friend Colby Rasmus is playing right field and leading off. The O’s are playing many of their regulars.

While waiting for the game, go take a look at this post by Arden Zwelling on the Jays new reliever Tyler Clippard. Tyler apparently had been tipping his pitches last year, and had been using his fastball less. He’s made adjustments and plans to use his fastball more.
And, if you have a few minutes, watch this video of Mark Shapiro answering questions from coaches at the 2017 National Coaching Clinic. Around the 17 minute mark he talks about improving Rogers Centre. He says that Rogers Centre generates the 3rd least revenue of all the parks in the majors. And he says grass isn’t going to happen, not that I thought it was ever going to happen. Beyond that, it is nice to hear him talk so passionately about the sport.
