Devon Travis to get ‘precautionary’ x-rays on hand

Devon Travis was hit in the hand by a pitch in the 9th inning tonight. He stayed in the game, and scored from first on Steve Pearce’s double, but then came out of the game in the bottom of the inning with Gift Ngoepe taking over at second.

After the game, Travis was sent for “precautionary” x-rays, which seems to suggest they don’t think anything is broken. I’m sure Travis could run the x-ray machine by now, he’s had so many.

I hope he’s ok, he really could use an injury free season.
