Tonight, the Blue Jays are in New York City for the first time this year.
The Yankees look a little different than when we saw them last. They have 29 transactions listed since April 1st whereas the Blue Jays only have 10. Notably, Brandon Drury and Tommy Kahnle are on the disabled list and Aaron Hicks is back. The Yankees also signed Adam Lind to a minor league deal again, and Tyler Austin has a suspension pending.
Since playing us, the Yankees won two against Tampa Bay, lost three out of four to Baltimore, lost a three game series to the Red Sox, won one against the Tigers and split a two game series with the Marlins. This should be a very interesting series to say the least.
Here's an interesting trail of tweets with quotes from Gibby today on Tesocar Hernandez:
On whether the #BlueJays will find a spot for Hernandez on the 25-man roster, Gibbons said: "I can't answer that yet, how it's all going to shake out. You want to throw your best team out there, don't you?"

Reading strictly between the lines, and nothing more than that, Gibbons rarely hints that strongly in his quotes. IMO he quite clearly believes #BlueJays roster is best with Hernandez on it.

Lastly, if you want to see something that will give you all sorts of feelings, check out this photo of Jose Bautista at the Jays spring training center in a Braves jersey.
Let's hope the bats stay hot.
GO JAYS GO!
