Shi Davidi tells us that that the Blue Jays are going to call up Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and activate Kendrys Morales from the DL.

Going down to Buffalo are Gift Ngoepe and Tim Mayza.

Lourdes is off toa great start to his New Hampshire season, hitting .347/.382/.510 with 1 homer, 1 triple and 3 doubles in 55 PA. After signing a $22 million 7-year contract before the 2017 season out of Cuba, he had a disappointing 2017 season, hitting .229/.286/.339 split between Dunedin and New Hampshire. I’m very curious to see him play.

It will be nice to have a utility infielder who can hit. Or at least I expect him to be able to hit. He has to be better than Gift was. We will likely see him tonight or tomorrow, filling in for Devon Travis.

Kendrys is back from 10 days on the DL with a hamstring issue. He was hitting .227/.280/.364 with 1 homer. I’m curious to see how Gibby works him into the lineup.

Tim Mayza goes down after pitching in just 1 game, 1 inning. I’m sure we’ll see him again.

And Gift, well he wasn’t very impressive. He hit just .056/.105/.056 in 19 PA and didn’t look as good defensively as I expected.

Not surprisingly, Teoscar Hernandez, is staying with the team. He’s hitting .375/.400/.708 in 25 PA. There would have been a fan revolt if he was sent down.
