There isn’t much for Blue Jays news today.
- Aledmys Diaz is expected to be back in the lineup soon. His back is ‘much better’ (if you read that with John Cleese’s voice, that’s how I planned it).
- Yangervis Solarte plays short and hits cleanup tonight, Estrada being a fly ball pitcher allows that, but I’m curious to see him turn a double play. I do hope he doesn’t get a lot of work.
- Steve Pearce leads off and Devon Travis bats ninth. It seems to be taking Devon longer to get his timing down than we hoped. He had a slow start last year too. Of course, I’m worried that the slow start could be because of knee problems, but I guess I’ll be worrying about his knees for the rest of his career.
- Remember it’s an hour later start than normal, as Texas is on Central time .
