GameThread Game #39: Red Sox at Blue Jays

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox are in town after narrowly escaping a 3-game sweep by the Yankees. Probably not the best team to try to pull out of a slump against, but such is life.

Aaron, I don't want to put too much pressure on you, but a quality start is very needed at the moment.

The Jays made a couple of roster moves today, which Erik recapped here. With Gaviglio being listed on the line-up card, it appears as if Joe Biagini will take Stroman's start on Sunday.

Here's our lineups for tonight. Granderson sits against a lefty (the Red Sox will be starting three lefties this series so he will probably be sitting a lot), and Luke Maile will catch for Aaron Sanchez. I'd be thrilled if we could scratch out three runs against Sale like we did last time.

Today's Lineups

Mookie Betts - RF Teoscar Hernandez - RF
Andrew Benintendi - CF Josh Donaldson - 3B
Hanley Ramirez - DH Yangervis Solarte - 2B
J.D. Martinez - LF Justin Smoak - 1B
Xander Bogaerts - SS Kevin Pillar - CF
Mitch Moreland - 1B Kendrys Morales - DH
Eduardo Nunez - 3B Anthony Alford - LF
Brock Holt - 2B Luke Maile - C
Sandy Leon - C Lourdes Gurriel - SS
Chris Sale - LHP Aaron Sanchez - RHP
