This isn’t the way I figured it would go. I thought Richard Urena would be the one heading back to Buffalo, but no.
The Jays Gio Urshela has made it to Toronto. To make room on the roster Dalton Pompey heads back to Buffalo.
Pompey hit .200/.283/.200 in 11 PA since coming up to Toronto, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. I would have liked him to play more but that’s life.
Urshela has 148 games of MLB experience, hitting .225/.273/.314 with 7 home runs., 26 walks and 80 strikeouts. He played mostly third base, but had a few games at second, short and first for Cleveland.
I kind of think I’d prefer Martin spelling Josh on occasion, but I’m not in the front office.
I’m sure we’ll see Dalton back. Welcome Gio.
