The Blue Jays (sans Vladimir Guerrero Jr) are in New York to play a team that isn't the Evil Empire. That is, if they do play. The skies at the moment aren't exactly promising.
It will be Curtis Granderson's first game back there since he was traded late last year to the Dodgers.
Prior to tonight's game, the Mets will show a tribute video at Citi Field for Curtis Granderson, a Met from 2014-17 and a member of the 2015 National League championship team.

Dwight Smith Jr has been recalled to take Anthony Alford's spot. I don't see him getting many starts with Granderson also being a lefty. I am sure they just needed a back-up outfielder in case of injury, and he along with Morales can pinch hit in the pitcher's spot in these two NL games. Keeping Alford as the right handed platoon to Granderson made more sense to me, but I'm guessing they want him to get regular at bats and Smith doesn't require that at this point.
We have some injury updates too, per Shi Davidi:
-Marcus Stroman is still resting, but will report to Dunedin on Thursday
-Aledmys Diaz is hitting and doing some light running.
-Randal Grichuk is running and may start some minor league rehab games this week
-Troy Tulowitzki is running on an anti-gravity treadmill and should see live batting practice this week
-Steve Pearce is feeling better, but not progressing to activities yet
Here are tonight's lineups. Yoenis Cespedes will be sitting out of this game for the Mets, and a DL stint is possible for him. Apparently he isn't completely healthy. We may know a bit about playing players at 85% health because they are still better than other players at 100% health.
Tonight's starter Jaime Garcia has 346 plate appearances with 45 hits and 3 homers over the last 10 years.
GO JAYS GO!
