During a four-game series with the Rochester Red Wings from June 14th-June 17th (includes Father’s Day), the Bisons will be known as the “Buffalo Wings”, in honor of Buffalo’s famous dish. The Red Wings will play as the “Rochester Plates” in the same series as a tribute to the Rochester Garbage Plate (Tom- I’m sure Kate is kidding here, no way they are going to be called the Garbage Plates).
The Bisons also revealed new merchandise in a red and orange color scheme, plus celery green socks to go along with their new name. The Bisons designed these jerseys in house - please take note of the effort that Michele Lang, the Bisons’ graphic designer, went into making a “B” with a chicken wing and some bleu cheese dip.
You can pick up your own Buffalo Wings merchandise here.
I will leave you with this valid question:
Sure, the white pants are standard for home games, but are the Buffalo Bisons sending the dangerous message that wearing white pants while eating wings is safe and responsible? pic.twitter.com/ZpHChOwFVg
