The Jays have optioned Richard Urena to the Bisons. Boy, just make a half dozen errors in a game and they give up on you (I know, not 6 errors, 2 errors, plus 1 non-error error). They won’t announce the corresponding move until Tuesday. I don’t know what they are thinking. Vlad in at short seems an idea worth trying to me.
And some other Blue Jays bits:
In case you were wondering, Morales topped out at 86.7 mph according to MLB GameDay.
I just wanted to share this:

VLAD JR. CAPS 4-FOR-4 DAY WITH THIS WALK-OFF
The #BlueJays 19-year-old mega-prospect is now leading all of @MiLB in hitting at a ridiculous .4⃣2⃣3⃣‼️
How good is this kid? https://t.co/05bM0kcBeLpic.twitter.com/fb0jt4GgqI
Vlad might be able to walk off the second game, as I type this the Fisher Cats are tied with the Rumble Ponies (really?) in extras of their second game. Vlad is 1 for 3, and has been hit by pitch and was intentionally walked in the 8th.
Carlos Ramirez was claimed off waivers by the A’s. Ramirez, after a terrific 2017, was having troubles finding the strike zone this year. 8.1 innings in Buffalo he’s allowed 8 walks. but then just 2 hits and 10 strikeouts. He also handed out 5 walks in 2.1 innings with the Jays.
I hate losing him, he was so good last year, he didn’t have troubles with the walks, just 3 in 16.2 MLB innings, and 10 in 37.2 minor league innings. It does seem strange that a handful of bad innings this year changes the team’s view of the guy.
I know Kate does the ‘Tweets of the Series’, but I thought I’d share this:
