GameThread Game #54: Blue Jays at Red Sox

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Blue Jays are in Boston for the first time this season, hopefully carrying some of the momentum from the last series win with them.

It's Memorial Day here in the US of A, which means I'm off work and get to actually watch the game.

Some updates from the farm, notably, Kevin Smith's promotion to high A with Logan Warmoth on the DL.

Here are today's lineups. Russell Martin is starting in left field - a plan I am fully on board with if it means they finally call up Danny Jansen. On the Red Sox side, Mookie Betts is sitting for a second straight day due to tightness in his left side, and notable Jay killer Dustin Pedroia is also on the bench, so this would be a good one to win.

Today's Lineups

TORONTO BLUE JAYS BOSTON RED SOX
Teoscar Hernandez - RF Andrew Benintendi - LF
Josh Donaldson - 3B Xander Bogaerts - SS
Justin Smoak - 1B Mitch Moreland - 1B
Yangervis Solarte - SS J.D. Martinez - DH

Russell Martin - LF Eduardo Nunez - 2B
Kendrys Morales - DH Brock Holt - RF
Luke Maile - C Christian Vazquez - C
