Blue Jays Roster Moves: Donaldson Activated, Smoak to PL

MLB: Toronto Blue Jays at Texas Rangers
He’s back

A handful of roster moves today:

  • Josh Donaldson has been activated from the DL. He had 2 rehab games (if it is just 2 games, I don’t understand the point of doing them).
  • Justin Smoak has been placed on the Paternity List:

A player placed on the paternity leave list must miss the next team game, but no more than three games.

So with the double header today, Justin gets ripped off, he’ll only get two days off. Shows that I’m not paying attention, I didn’t know that his wife was pregnant. Congratulations to the Smoaks.

  • Tim Mayza gets called up to be the 26th man. With scheduled double headers they get a 26 man for both games.
  • Another move will be made between games to get Joe Biagini on the roster so he can start the second game. Unless something bad happens in the first game, it will be Mayza coming off the roster.
