GameThread Game #36: Mariners at Blue Jays

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight the Jays start a six game home stand, hosting the Mariners for three and then the Red Sox for three. When the Mariners played at the Rogers Center last year, we swept them in a four game series.

We do have some good news today - prospect TJ Zeuch has been promoted to AA. Zeuch made six starts for the Dunedin Jays, posting an ERA of 3.47. He went six innings in his last two starts, allowing two earned runs and one earned run respectively.

We have some positive injury updates as well. Aledmys Diaz is reported to be walking around without crutches or a boot. Lourdes Gurriel Jr will get the majority playing time at shortstop in his absence. Curtis Granderson was sprinting today as well, and is said to be available tonight. With a lefty on the mound, he would likely only pinch hit in the later innings.

Here are our lineups for tonight. Hernandez stays in the lead off spot, and Alford gets the start in left field against the southpaw.

Today's Lineups
