The Texas Rangers claimed Deck McGuire off waivers from the Blue Jays. You’ll remember he was DFAed to make room for Preston Guilmet. I’m overly pissed off about this. Rationally, I know, who cares really, but I’d rather have Deck than Preston.
In other news, Marcus Stroman will make a rehab start in New Hampshire Monday. And Steve Pearce will DH in Buffalo tomorrow.
And, after being told yesterday that Josh Donaldson would be activated today, he hasn’t been. He still can’t ‘sprint’. Funny, Richard Griffin just tweeted a picture showing Josh “taking ground balls, showing he’s ready”. Maybe not.
