Blue Jays Roster Moves: Tepera to DL, Petricka Up

I wondered if Ryan was having an issue. He just didn’t look right the other day.

Ryan Tepera is going on the DL with right elbow inflammation. No word at the moment about how long he is to be out.

Jake Petricka comes back to the Jays to fill his roster spot. Jake has pitched in 9 games for the Blue Jays this season. 5.40 ERA, 18 (!) hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 8.1 innings. How do you give up 18 hits in 8.1 innings?

Down in Buffalo Jake has a 0.90 ERA in 13 games. In 20 innings he’s allowed 18 hits, 3 walks with 13 strikeouts. He hasn’t allowed an earned run since June 7th for the Bisons. And he’s pitched more than an inning several times.
