South Alabama SS Drew LaBounty fouled a ball off his eye earlier this year, a career-ending injury that has required multiple surgeries. Now he goes out an MLB draftee.
Josh Donaldson is eligible to be reinstated from the DL tomorrow, but it seems unlikely we will see him then. I'd rather he take the time and get himself sorted, than come back too early and still not look like Josh Donaldson.
Here are tonight's lineups. Martin, Pillar and Travis all get rest days. Grichuk plays center, and Urshela will take over at 3rd. Tesocar gets another rep in left field where it sounds like he will stay going forward.
