Blue Jays trade John Axford to Dodgers

Deadline trade number 2. Blue Jays trade John Axford to the Dodgers.

Again, we don’t know who is coming back just yet. I am kind of sad that he’s leaving. He seemed like a good guy and I always like to have Canadians on the team.

The Jays are getting back Corey Copping. He is 24, a RHP, 31 round pick in 2015. He has a 3.02 ERA in 35 games split between AA and AAA this season. In 53.2 innings, he’s allowed 44 hits, 26 walks and has 59 strikeouts.
