Blue Jays Roster Move: Cruz DL, Mayza Up

The Blue Jays have placed Rhiner Cruz on the 10-day DL with a groin strain. Tim Mayza comes back from Buffalo again.

Cruz pitched in two games, for a total of 3.1 innings, alloing 3 hits, 1 earned, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Mayza has been up and down a bunch. As a Jay he has a 3.75 ERA in 12 games. 12 innings, 15 hits, 3 homers, 3 walks and 10 strikeouts. In Buffalo he has a 4.11 ERA in 13 games. In 15.1 innings he’s allowed 13 hits, 1 homer, 6 walks and 22 strikeouts.

Lourdes is in at short today. No Granderson today, even with a RHP. I wonder if he is a little sore after yesterday’s rather amazing catch.
