Blue Jays Roster Moves: Gurriel to the DL, Barnes Activated

Just waiting for my flight to Seattle, so this will be short.

Lourdes Gurriel has been put on the 10-day DL. Danny Barnes is activated from the DL to take his roster spot.

Gurriel was in the midst of a historic 11 multi-hit game streak when he injured both his knee and his ankle. As one of the bright spots in the back half of this lost season, this is very disappointing news - especially Blue Jays fans making the trip to Seattle this weekend who were looking forward to seeing him play.

Danny Barnes rejoins the team after a lengthy DL stint with left knee tendinitis. He will be a welcomed, capable reinforcement for a stripped down bullpen. Glad to have you back, Danny.
