Not that it is a surprise, but the Blue Jays have made moves. Lourdes Gurriel has been activated from the DL and Richard Urena is on his way back to Buffalo.

Urena was pretty good in this little stint with the Jays. Since August 10th Urena has hit .269/.367/.385 in 30 PA with 3 double. He really didn’t look out of place. In total, for the Jays he’s hit .273/.333/.409.

Gurriel comes back with an 11 game multi-hit streak on the line. He hit .500/.519/.740 over those 11 games. In all, as a Jay he is hitting .322/.340/.503 in 147 PA.

I’m glad to see him back, I’d like to get him as much action as possible over the rest of the season, just to see what we have. I’d be leaning towards giving him either second base or shortstop next year, if he continues to play well.

I’m sure we’ll see Richard back here in September.
